It is widely recognized that "Health is Wealth". But due to the rising financial demand for survival, some people abuse their health by digging their nose into their unending work loads which oftentimes results into skipping meals or untimely meals. This habit should be break!
It's almost 10 o'clock in the morning and all the waiting area seats were occupied. I'm standing behind my nervous Auntie waiting for her turn to undergo Upper GI Endoscopy. She's been suffering from abdominal pain, vommitting and nausea for more than 2 weeks. She's not eating well and is fast lossing weight. The doctor in St. Pauls Hospital in Hong Kong advised her to undergo GI Endoscopy to determine the cause of her illness.
What is upper GI Endoscopy? With the help of my friend google.
Upper GI endoscopy is a procedure that uses a lighted, flexible endoscope to see inside the upper GI tract. The upper GI tract includes the esophagus, stomach, and duodenum—the first part of the small intestine.
After 4 hours, the long wait is over. They found out that she had a 3mm polyps in her stomach which they removed through cold biopsy forceps and she also had some mild scratches which they gave medication inside too. The procedure took only about 15-20 minutes which amazingly disappear all the pains and discomforts.
If you are in Hong Kong and have a similar situation, I suggest to go St. Pauls Hospital. The facilities are clean with pleasing staffs. Their service is worth the price.
Above all, we should treasure our health by eating well, rest well and stay fit.
I'm so glad the doctors were able to help your Auntie so quickly!
